I've been playing this terribly addictive game called Empire Craft of late. Although it might just be addictive because I don't really have anything else to do. The gist of it is you start with a town hall and then you build and upgrade other buildings and create an army. Then you go wage war on your neighbors. Although this sounds fun; the game doesn't have much in the way of graphics. So your pretty much competing via numbers. And everything takes TIME! It's like a bloody currency in the game. Upgrading a building at level 20 can take like 29 hours. So lately I've been playing this and tabbing back and forth from youtube and other things.

I should really find a better way to spend my time... but on the bright side Dragon Age Origins is coming out soon!

It sounds kind of like Ages of Empires- an old computer game I was addicted to when I was a teenager. Have you ever played it? The graphics were pretty sweet for it's time. I think they're still coming out with new ones, but I lost interest after Age of Mythology. You started out with a few villagers and a town square in the stone age, then had to build buildings and armies and advance through the bronze age, iron age, etc. You could even build a Colosseum! It was like Risk on the computer with awesome graphics.

Oh I loved that game! We bought Age of Empires way back when I was 7 or something back in 1997. I used to play it so much. I remember using the "e=mc2 space trooper" cheat all the time to spawn the space troopers with laser guns. Oh yeah, and they also had "big daddy" for the guy in the sports with a rocket launcher. Age of Empires II was pretty good as well, but I enjoyed Starwars Galactic Battlegrounds which used the same engine more. We bought Age of Empires 3 too ,but I never really played it too much.

LOL! I remember those cheats! I only used them once, though, because they took all the challenge out of it. Especially Big Daddy. He could decimate the map in a matter of minutes. XD In Age of Mythology there was a cheat where you could spawn a flying purple hippo that killed enemies by blowing kisses at them. Hehehehehe...

I was really into Age of Kings, I played it for countless hours. But I lost interest during the expansion of Age of Mythology. It just got too repetitive.

I was too young at the time to do anything but use the cheats, lol. I'd always end up sending in some space troopers to decimate their town while I massed walls.

Gosh, I'm not sure how old I was when I started playing Ages of Empires. 11? 12? A very long time ago, that's all I know.
